United Soccer Coaches Announces National Team Academic Award Winners, Mt. Hope is Among Top 215 Soccer Schools Nationwide for 2016, And The Only Rhode Island Girls Team Honored
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (October 5, 2017) - United Soccer Coaches (formerly the NSCAA) announced on Thursday the Team Academic Award Winners at the high school and college levels to recognize exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2016-17 academic year.
At the high school level, 333 teams (118 boys, 215 girls) are honored with the Team Academic Award, including 46 schools with double recognition for both their boys and girls programs, with Mt. Hope Girls Soccer Amongst them.

United Soccer Coaches annually celebrates the academic achievements of high school and college soccer teams whose student-athletes collectively demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their studies over the course of a full school year.
The High School Team Academic Award is bestowed upon teams led by active United Soccer Coaches members with a composite grade point average of 3.25 or better on a 4.0 scale for all players on the roster.
