Boys Lacrosse Upends Wheeler 14-2

It was Friday Night Lights for the Mt Hope Huskies Boys Lacrosse team as they took on Wheeler at Kickemuit for a rare night game under the lights. The Huskies come out firing with an offensive outburst early in the game to take a 4-0 lead. After Wheeler scored two quick ones to make it 4-2, the Huskies slam the door shut defensively and respond with an offensive outburst of 10 unanswered goals and finish with a 14-2 victory. Defensively, the Senior trio of Austin Hogan, Logan Allen & Bailey Taft (Crash, Boom & Bang) played smart, tough defense in helping neutralize the Wheeler attack. Sophomore Goalkeeper Cam Rancourt made 10 saves in helping preserve the victory. Offensively, the Huskies had multiple contributors. Sophomore Keegan Hanley scored six goals and added two assists. Senior Caleb Dorgan scored one goal and added five assists. Junior Jack Dolan put up four points, while the Serbst brothers, Jeremy and Stephen contributed three and two goals respectively. Senior Marcus Rodrigues was a major faceoff presence for the Huskies all game long and also added an assist, while Freshman Sloan Simpson contributed an assist as well. Back on the defensive side of the ball, the Huskies also received valuable contrbutions from Juniors Travis Waleryszak, Antoine Mouligne & Zach Burke.
