MHHS Coaches are required to complete the following courses:

Fundamentals of Coaching** (Valid for 5 years) $50 Fee

RI State Component (valid for 1 year) Free

Concussion in Sports (valid for 1 year) Free

Sudden Cardiac Arrest (Currently: needs to be completed once) Free

First Aid & CPR (valid for 2 years) ​ Free to all BWRSD Employees/Coaching Staff

KMS Coaches are required to complete the following courses:

Fundamentals of Coaching (Valid for 5 years) $50 Fee

Concussion in Sports (valid for 1 year) Free

Sudden Cardiac Arrest (Currently: needs to be completed once) Free

First Aid & CPR (valid for 2 years) ​ Free to all BWRSD Employees/Coaching Staff (courses available every season)
 

** Fundamentals of coaching only needs to be taken once, valid for 5 years, and the RI Component course is included in this course the first time it is taken. ​

** After 5 years of coaching, coaches will need to become Accredited Interscholastic Coach certified and are required to take:

• Concussion in Sports
• First Aid, health & Safety
• Fundamentals of Coaching
• NFHS Sport Specific Course
